Senior2Day, located in Kimberley, Northern Cape Province has been formed  as a collective of professional retirees to address the skills shortages  in the Northern Cape. It is a movement of people who are living out a distinct and compelling vision of work in the second half of life. Instead of seeking the freedom from work, they are searching for the freedom to work - in new ways, on new terms and to new ends.The management team is BEE representative and has a wealth of experience in Education.

Director Profiles
  

Raymond Vanmallegham

Holds an Engineering Degree in Ballistics from the Belgian Military School-Polytechnic Division. After a stint in the Belgian Air Force he emigrated to South Africa where he obtained Professional Engineering status in Industrial  Engineering. His passion for Operations Research techniques saw him building the Production Optimisation model for Sasol II.

 

As a consultant in Management Information Systems he implemented a cutting edge system for the department of education and agriculture in the Northern Cape South Africa

 

At present he devotes his time to the building of innovative websites and experimental design of an Internet Café geared at e-learning.

  

Abie Katz

Abie has a life long Maths and Science teaching background. As a principal during the apartheid era he stood firm on principled values. He is considered as an icon in his community after 40 years in educations and which he continues to serve in a thoughtful manner.

E-cafe

 

The e-café is a joint venture between the youth of Roodepan near Kimberley and Senior2day.  It is a unique concept of a internet café where the emphasis is not so much on social networking but on e-learning and job entry facilitation.
